Curriculum Vitae

Terug
Robert Puck, born in 1974 in Austria, was raised close to his parents riding stable. At a very early age he started riding ponies, soon afterwards followed by horses. Together with his father, a well-known Austrian jumping rider, and his brother Gerfried (1973) he took part in many jumping tournaments and competitions. His participation in the European Championships for Young Riders in 1993 and 1994 were the main events in his early career.

In 1990, Robert joins the riding stable of Roelof Bril in the Netherlands as a trainee to improve his riding qualities still further. After four years of having enjoyed the educational experience and working environment, he decides to change riding stable and join Studfarm Bollvorm to become one of their training and jumping riders. When Bollvorm is dissolved Robert starts riding jumping horses for Adri Jespers.

With all this experience under his belt Robert decides in 1997 to start up for himself in Leur, where he can make use of the fantastic accommodation (see Accommodation) to concentrate on the trade and training of young, talented jumping horses.

Currently, Puck Stables has grown to become a highly renowned Horse Trading Stable, with top quality jumping horses. Each year around 80 to 100 horses exchange ownership, 90 percent of them being sold abroad. The cooperation with his brother Gerfried is a very important aspect of the success. “Gerfried is a really good training and competition rider, he trains the horses and presents them during national and international competitions. I myself focus to look and find good talented horses and to buy and sell them. I also ride the horses myself regularly, to feel how they move and behave and in order to be able to advise my customers well”.

Puck Stables has the following philosophy and mission:

"We help our customers to find a suitable, talented, well-mannered and
good looking horse
"

Horses that have been selected and are being sold by Robert Puck always meet the strict quality requirements of the serious contemporary jumping rider and all are being examined, both clinically and by X-ray, by a veterinary.

Puck Stables is proud of its achievement that no horse has ever been returned by a customer and that all its clients remain very satisfied. Robert: “That’s indeed what I am aiming for. To establish a long-term relationship with my clients and to have them satisfied. If they are satisfied, then that is the best advertisement you can wish for. What I also like is that many of them tell me about their experiences and successes with the horses they once bought with me.
